Realme has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme GT5, in accordance with its scheduled release. A succinct overview of the Realme GT5 reveals its flagship variant boasting a remarkable 24GB RAM capacity and an exceptional 240W fast charging capability. Remarkably, this premium variant comes at only a slightly higher price point than the base model, which, while more restrained, still boasts impressive power.

The Realme GT5 is available in two distinct versions: the 150W and the 240W. Notably, the 240W charging system is particularly impressive. A mere 80 seconds of charging from a completely depleted battery brings the charge level to 20%. The 150W version is equally notable, achieving a 50% charge in just 7 minutes, despite its larger battery capacity.

Whichever iteration of the Realme GT5 one opts for, it is guaranteed to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, renowned for its processing power. The device incorporates a 9-layer cooling system inclusive of a 20,827mm² vapor chamber, effectively managing heat dissipation.

The phone's display is a flat 6.74-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,240 x 2,772px (20:9 aspect ratio). The display exhibits colors in 10-bit and boasts 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. With a peak brightness of 1,400 nits, it employs a 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming mechanism. Operating at a refresh rate of 144Hz, the Adreno GPU is complemented by an X7 display chip that aids in frame insertion, enhancing the game's frame rate.

Turning to the rear of the device, the main camera boasts an impressive 50MP resolution, underpinned by a Sony IMX890 sensor (1/1.56”). This camera is equipped with a 24mm lens featuring an f/1.9 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Alongside it is a 112° ultra-wide camera with an 8MP resolution, in addition to a 2MP macro module. Adjacent to these features is the LED light that frames a Snapdragon logo, capable of illuminating in 26 different colors with 5 levels of brightness adjustment. The selfie camera employs a 16MP sensor (S5K3P9).

In terms of connectivity, the GT5 is a dual-SIM 5G-enabled phone, supported by four Wi-Fi antennas featuring Wi-Fi 7 compatibility. Furthermore, a Bluetooth antenna, supporting version 5.3, incorporates aptX HD, LHDC, LDAC, and LC3 audio codecs.

Several additional noteworthy features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, coupled with an X-axis linear motor for enhanced haptic feedback. The phone holds Hi-Res Audio and Dolby certifications, although it omits a wired 3.5mm headphone jack. The front of the device incorporates a fingerprint reader with a rapid 0.25s response time. Positioning is enabled through a 3-band GPS system (L1+L2+L5).

Both iterations of the Realme GT5 are currently available for pre-order via Realme's official Chinese store, with sales scheduled to commence on September 4th. Prospective buyers can choose between two color options: Silver with a reflective finish or Green with a matte texture.
