Experience high-performance and stunning visuals with the newly launched vivo Y78 smartphone.
Last month, Vivo introduced the Y78+ which runs on Snapdragon 695 SoC, and now the company has launched the regular model powered by Dimensity 7020 chip. The vivo Y78 differs from the Y78+ in terms of its display - it flaunts a 6.64-inch Full HD+ 120Hz LCD instead of the 6.78-inch Full HD+ 120Hz curved AMOLED display found in the Y78+. Additionally, the vanilla model features a side-mounted fingerprint reader, whereas the Y78+ has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
While the Vivo Y78 and Y78+ have the same 5,000mAh battery and 44W wired charging support, the Y78 is heavier and thicker than the Plus model. Furthermore, the Y78+ boasts OIS on its 50MP primary camera, which is missing in the Y78. Both phones have 2MP depth sensors and an 8MP front-facing camera.
The vivo Y78 operates on Android 13-based OriginOS 3 and has Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Y78 comes in three colors and three memory configurations - 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB, priced at CNY1,399 ($200/€185/INR16,570), CNY1,699 ($245/€225/INR20,120), and CNY1,999 ($290/€265/INR23,675), respectively. While the Y78 will be available in China from May 13.
